The research team of PhytoGeniX is international and multidisciplinary. The group comprises scientists who have their roots (and networks) in different systems of traditional medicine. In this way access to traditional knowledge is facilitated and ideas for new products can be generated more easily.

The company is managed by C.J. Beukelman, PhD (medical biologist and immunologist) and A.J.J. van den Berg, PhD (lecturer pharmacognosy). The fact that PhytoGeniX is originating from University of Utrecht provides many opportunities for adjacent research.
